the deer
i walk in to virtual walmart
i am greeted by the cutest robot greeter
she says welcome to virtual walmart
i put a virtual shirt on, smell it
it feels just like a shirt
i taste the virtual blueberry jam
it tastes just like blueberry jam
i am watching virtual television as
i am waiting in line at the check out
then my IP address is verified and
everything materializes into its predetermined destination and
virtual shirt and virtual blueberry jam become tangible,
to escape from this digital world out into the middle of the woods

the mexicans
my comprehension of
reading pizzas while delivering novels
with a side of song
I found a Spanish-English, or English-Spanish
dictionary in my old house
and put it on a garbage pail in the kitchen
for Arturo, Pedro and I
to learn the languages
eat food and drink tequila
